Migration

Insignia Medical Systems is one of the largest providers of LSP PACS data migration services.

We utilise the standard DICOM Query Retrieve service available at all Trusts, which retrieves local and CDS images enabling manageable retrieval rates and automatically updating any merges or updates. Insignia is working with Connecting for Health and Insignia operate within the CFH Transitional PACS Assistance Scheme (TPAS). This includes a risk register and regular assessments of our processes. Insignia provide Trusts with full control and reporting so that the migration can be monitored and managed.

As at March 2012, Insignia has been awarded the contracts to retrieve PACS data from 12 PACS systems including those who have flushed to the Cluster Data Store.

This methodology allows Trusts to migrate their data in advance of the end of the national contracts in preparation for their new PACS.
