Insignia Medical Systems, the pioneering, UK based Enterprise Imaging provider, has been selected and successfully gone live at Bedford Hospital NHS Trust. Having transferred nearly 80 million images, equating to just over 12 years of work, Insignia PACS is now being used across the 360 bed site.
Bedford chose Insignia to provide their full suite of PACS products including the industry-leading InSight 4D viewer, with the Trust making plans to enable image sharing within the region.
With all reporting now taking place through Insignia, and full onsite training delivered by the growing Insignia training team, Christian Kasmeridis, Radiology Clinical Services Manager, Bedford Hospital NHS Trust, commented “We are excited to be working with Insignia to provide our PACS. It’s been evident that working with a company who purely focusses on the UK sector brings huge benefits, both in the product itself, and from the customer service and relationship we have built with the Insignia team already. With plans to implement image sharing across the region, we are excited to see how else Insignia can aid us in improving patient care within the region."
Speaking about the go live, Insignia Project Manager, Julie Guest, commented “The new Insignia PACS has been very well received and it’s clear that the Insignia solution will bring huge benefits to the Trust. Working closely with the team at Bedford Hospital NHS Trust, I am confident this is the beginning of another new partner relationship and we’re looking forward to welcoming the team to our Insignia community at our User Day later this year.”
With over 30% of Trusts in the South using Insignia’s InSight PACS solution, Bedford is the latest Trust in the East of England to join Insignia, along with Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals, Mid Essex Hospital Services, and Southend University Hospital, as part of the Essex Success Regime. Insignias presence across the UK is continually growing, as the largest UK based PACS provider, Insignia have continued to grow and develop their products to match the changing needs and demands of the NHS and UK private clients.
