Detailed in the following figure is an outline of the Insignia Breast PACS topology. Note that multiple inbound HL7 feeds can be accommodated also multiple outbound DICOM destinations. This might include the Image Exchange Portal or the local Trust PACS.

Connectivity to the Trust PACS will allow for relevant historical images to be queried and retrieved onto the Breast PACS.

With multiple HL7 feeds Insignia Breast PACS will create a unified Modality worklist that will allow efficient examination of both Screening and non-screening patients.
